In March 2023 The Power of Resilience will be given 160 books for World Book Night to distribute in Tameside and the surrounding area.
We chose The award winning book ‘Nightingale Point’ by Luan Goldie.
This is a novel which touches on issues of race, community and mental health issues.
It is a story including tragedy, trauma and resilience and how a diverse group of people overcome their differences in order to survive.
It is an emotive novel which we hope will encourages individuals to spark discussions about some of the issues it discusses including community, diversity and mental health issues.
