BASED AT:
137 STAMFORD STREET THOMPSON CROSS, SK15 1LU
In January and February 2025, The Power of Resilience CIC piloted a soup kitchen project in Stalybridge, adjacent to our community pantry. In just two months, more than 400 bowls of soup were distributed to our local community on some of the coldest days of that winter.
Determined to continue to serve our community, we aimed to reach even more people. By July of 2025, we had received amazing support from Robertsons Facilities Management supporting us to build a community kitchen next to the property – also encouraging other local contractors to be involved too!
Works for the community kitchen will begin in September 2025, with the aim of the kitchen being ready to be completed by mid November 2025.

How can you help us to continue to make this viable?
We are hosting a fundraiser to help us purchase ingredients, pots and pans for cooking, containers for distribution, and to cover the salary of a part-time key staff member who will assist in training volunteers in the community.
