We were delighted to welcome the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Cllr Shibley Alam to open our New ‘Pay As You Can’ Community Kitchen in Stalybridge in December 2025.
This kitchen has been created with one simple belief at its core: no one should ever be turned away. Built on Christian values of love, compassion and practical service, it is a place where everyone is invited to share food, warmth and connection. Whether you arrive hungry, hopeful, curious, or simply in need of a friendly face and a decent brew, there is always room at our table.
Visitors can expect hearty meals, good company and a space where full plates go hand in hand with full hearts. This kitchen belongs to all of us, and we can’t wait to welcome you in.
This community project has been made possible through the sponsorship and collaboration of Robertson Facilities Management, RMD Electrical Services Ltd and Crescent Roofing Limited.
The businesses stepped forward after The Power of Resilience CIC was named Community Interest Company of the Year at the 2025 Pride of Tameside Business Awards.

We are hosting a fundraiser to help us purchase ingredients, pots and pans for cooking, containers for distribution, and to cover the salary of a part-time key staff member who will assist in training volunteers in the community.
