Living Life to the Full

In January and February 2024 we ran a 6-session course, “Living Life to the Full,” in conjunction with GMCVO. Here we have been exploring ways to embrace life and find fulfilment. Living Life to the Full is a 6 session wellbeing course focusing on positive thinking, which can help reduce anxiety. Improving mood, confidence and self-esteem while developing positive skills and coping strategies for long-lasting change. I have been able to talk about things and felt better at managing my social anxiety. I have enjoyed meeting new people and getting out of my comfort zone.

At the start of the course I was in quite a low/negative place. This course has helped me to move forward and look at my emotions and thoughts and start to identify what they are. It’s helped me to find more of a positive outlook and feel happier. The change has been noted by people close to me.

Our tutor Julie was very attentive and sensitive to each member’s needs. The course was well structured and our achievements were captured in weekly booklets.


I really enjoyed the fidget toys and found it really relaxing and also the creative week where we made a bookmark. I felt I was back in my childhood and was really engrossed.


The course helped us focus on positive ways of managing. Julie was really involved throughout these sessions and a positive role model for the course.
